Our Story

AuroraBora Co. was created in memory of my sister Aurora. We were a year apart in age and best friends. When she was 16, she passed away in a car accident. She had told my family that if anything ever happened to her, she’d want her ashes spread in the ocean. So we did just that, off the coast of Kauai, a place we visited often and both felt deeply connected to.

The ocean always felt like home to us. Starting this brand was my way of staying close to her, of creating something beautiful in her name. AuroraBora Co. exists to keep her memory alive and to share a piece of her with the world.

Each swimsuit is made from recycled fishing nets and biodegradable materials to help keep the ocean clean. A portion of every purchase goes toward ocean cleanup efforts to help maintain and protect her home.

Aurora was so full of life; she was bold, kind, and never afraid to be herself. And I’ve built this brand to reflect those parts of her.
